TreeHouse by Aria Wins National Accolade
Aria is proud to announce TreeHouse by Aria has been awarded Best High Density Development in Australia for 2023 by the Urban Development Institute of Australia. Adding to Aria’s extensive list of accolades, the successful award marks Aria’s fifth national win in the past seven years.
Located in the leafy suburb of West End, TreeHouse is a boutique project of only ninety apartments spanning across twelve storeys fronting West End’s beloved Davies Park. Inspired by the innovative green buildings found throughout Singapore, our team sought to create a contextual and visual response to the Brisbane City Council’s advocacy for greener buildings across the city.
TreeHouse’s architectural aesthetic was designed to make residents feel immersed in what it’s like to live in a “tree house” – each balcony sits adjacent to a garden or tree canopy, promoting a strong connection to landscape and enhanced external amenity. Sweeping curves across the built form reference natural movements of a fig tree as it climbs from base to canopy and is subsequently crowned by an iconic rooftop space.
Leading the way when it comes to green innovation, over seventy mature trees have been incorporated throughout the development to deliver a dynamic green façade dominated by the purple flowers of the tibouchina, which bloom sporadically throughout the year providing a burst of colour across the building. The expansive rooftop is heavily landscaped using trees, planting, lawns, water features and hardscape to create a true rooftop garden with each aspect of the roof having a different feeling and function.
Aria Development Manager Brent Liddell said it was an honour to have the project recognised by one of the industry’s most reputable associations.
“Being recognised by the UDIA is a testament to Aria Property’s commitment to continually achieve the best outcome; each of our projects are extremely curated and designed specifically for their location – TreeHouse is no exception to this.
“Everything at TreeHouse is designed to support better living, from state-of-the-art amenities to the views and integration of Davies Park, which flow through to the details of the building.
“The project’s contribution to both its own community and wider urban fabric ensures its relevance and connection with the surrounding neighbourhood - all elements that have led to the project’s success,” he said..
Further optimising living, Aria Property manages TreeHouse from a facilities and ongoing management point of view, fostering a community for residents and assisting with health and wellbeing from a physical and mental viewpoint. Residential amenities include a rooftop infinity pool, magnesium bath, private dining room, fitness centre, playground for children and two barbecue spaces. Weekly yoga and personal training are held on the rooftop and quarterly resident events are held to allow residents to meet one another and create a genuine community within the complex.
To date, TreeHouse has been popular with a healthy mix of buyer groups, including first home owners, investors and second and third-homeowners, all who are looking for a new home or a smart investment within a sustainable community.
Since completion in 2021, the project has been incredibly well received with a number of apartments experiencing significant capital growth from 15 per cent to 40 per cent returns.
