Our Story

Tim Forrester studies Property Economics at QUT and grows his passion for property. During his studies he buys a mobile coffee business, his first entrepreneurial endevour.

Aria is established

Tim Forrester establishes Aria with long time school friends, Brent Liddell, Michael Hurley, his sister Kirsty and David Marsland.

First completion

Aria develops 18 apartments at Ocean Vista in Alexandra Headland, and completes first block of 24 apartments in South Brisbane.

Expansion into the US

Aria completes multiple developments throughout the US - Champagne Lodge, Aspen Lodge, Emerald Lodge and Bear Lodge at Trappeurs Crossing Resort, Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

The Smith Family

Aria forms a partnership with The Smith Family, pledging financial support through the Aria Learning for Life program. To date Aria has donated over $600,000 and has mentored over 850 kids.

First award

Aria completes multiple projects throughout Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast, including The Cliffs, a boutique development situated at the pinnacle of Kangaroo Point, earning the UDIA Award for Best Development in Queensland.

Vine

Aria pioneers rooftop clubs and rooftop amenity with the completion of Vine. Through this innovation, Vine is awarded the UDIA Award for Best Development in Queensland.

Boutique completions

Aria delivers boutique developments, Village Green and Jardin, showcasing depth in delivering high quality projects regardless of scale.

Breaking the mould

In partnership with the nationally acclaimed architecture firm Rothelowman, Aria completes Austin. Austin continues Aria’s rooftop amenities with pool and residents club areas and the introduction of signature retail on the ground floor. Austin receives the prestigious UDIA President’s Award for Best Overall Project in Queensland.

Urban renewal

Following the launch of Austin, Aria continues the ambitious transformation of a neglected car park and refuse area into a dynamic dining and cultural hub. The Fish Lane project will feature extensive landscaping, striking public art installations, and a thoughtfully curated mix of retail, restaurants, cafés, and galleries.

Botanica Residences

Aria completes Botanica Residences located in the heart of South Brisbane and is awarded UDIA Award for Best High-Density Development in Australia and the prestigious President’s Award for Best Overall Development in Australia. The tower showcases Aria’s commitment to sustainability and greenery with ninety-six solar panels installed and Queensland’s largest residential green wall.

Eden Laneway part one

Eden Lane and Ivy Terrace are completed — stage one of Aria’s exciting urban renewal project, Eden Laneway, with the two towers deliver an intimate oasis of resident amenity set across the joint podium form.

Arriving in the Sunshine Coast

Aria completes boutique development Breeze, bringing a new level of architecture to the heart of Mooloolaba.

First national award

In partnership with architecture firm Tony Owen Partners, Aria delivers The Melbourne Residences, transforming Melbourne Street boulevard and earning Aria its first UDIA Award for Best High-Density Development in Australia.

Aria Living

Aria establishes Aria Living to provide property management and concierge services to The Melbourne Residences and all Aria projects moving forward.

Eden Laneway part two

Aria completes Lexington and Akira, the final two towers of the four-staged Eden Lane masterplan. Both new buildings combine to complete the evolving green space and retail precinct of Eden Lane.

St Julien Residences

St Julien Residences is completed, standing proud on the crest of South Bank and showcasing a new level of architecture in the south of Brisbane and arguably the best views in the city.

Innovative architecture

Aria partners with renowned architects Elenberg Fraser to create Oxley + Stirling Residences. The project brings new innovations to the Brisbane apartment market through a unique rooftop space and cleverly designed apartments and is honoured with the UDIA Award for Best High-Density Development in Australia.

A new landmark

Aria completes The Drapery in collaboration with Elenberg Fraser, showcasing Brisbane’s most architecturally innovative development to date. This new landmark in Woolloongabba elevates a prominent corner location and introduces three high-quality retail venues to the area.

Valencia

Aria completes Valencia, whose iconic rippling façade stands proudly above Brisbane in the prestigious suburb of Kangaroo Point. The Rothelowman designed tower, featuring a distinctive pink hue, is recognised with the UDIA Award for Best High-Density Development in Queensland.

Amira

Inspired by Moroccan architecture, Aria completes Amira in East Brisbane. A uniquely designed tower in partnership with Rothelowman merges contemporary design elements with the sub-tropical surrounds of Raymond Park.

Introducing landmark retail

A once overlooked corner of Brisbane’s CBD, Aria transforms a neglected alleyway and neighbouring building to become a stylish retail, workplace and dining scene. Aria signs international retail brands to Brisbane including Hermès, Hourglass, Montblanc and Ermenegildo Zegna.

Fish Lane Town Square

The opening of Fish Lane Town Square at the end of 2020 marks a significant milestone for Aria. Through a collaboration with one of Australia’s most coveted public realm designers, Richards & Spence, Fish Lane Town Square incorporates over 3,000 plants, seating, lighting installations and three new retail venues, and is recognised with multiple awards for urban renewal and recreational architecture.

Merging architecture with nature

Inspired by a company-wide innovation trip to Singapore, Aria completes TreeHouse and delivers Brisbane’s first residential building to incorporate over thirty trees across a building’s façade and over seventy-five trees in total across the project. TreeHouse is awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Australia 2023.

A new standard

Aria collaborates with Woods Bagot Architects and Form Landscape Architects to deliver The Standard on Fish Lane. The sculptural design redefines Aria's commitment to deliver world class buildings with a number of Australian first resident amenities. The Standard introduces 3x Tesla's for exclusive resident only use, a first in Queensland. The project is awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Australia 2022.

Trellis

Located adjacent to one of Brisbane’s oldest and most iconic parklands, Aria completes Trellis, a striking architectural form that combines years of Aria’s innovations into a single tower. Trellis is awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Australia 2026.

Rivière

Working with one of Australia’s oldest and most prestigious architectural firms, Bates Smart, Aria completes Rivière. Standing proud on top of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Rivière’s stepping façade pays homage to the surrounding locality and elevates Brisbane’s apartment living experiences to new heights.

First double-storey rooftop club

In partnership with internationally renowned architecture firm, Koichi Takada Architects, Aria completes Upper House. Standing proud as the tallest tower in South Brisbane, the unique design combines dancing balconies and Australia’s first double-storey residents’ rooftop club. Upper House is awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Australia 2025.

Casamia

In partnership with architecture firm Rothelowman, and inspired by Spanish architect, Antoni Gaudi, Casamia is home to a boutique collection of park front penthouses. Overlooking Davies Park and neighbouring the banks of the Brisbane River, Casamia is located in the heart of West End.

Lucerna

Offering a boutique collection of only 49 apartments, Lucerna's highly curated and curvaceous board marked concrete design is a collaboration between Aria and Woods Bagot Architects. Celebrating and embracing natural light with breathable apartments, Lucerna fosters connection, and highlights the natural beauty of its surroundings.

Rising from the Cliffs

Cliff is the next iconic tower in our portfolio to transform Brisbane's skyline and bring new innovations to the Australian residential market. In partnership with Rothelowman, the name Cliff is inspired by the iconic Kangaroo Point Cliffs. Cliff commands an irreplaceable north facing location with panoramic views across the double reach of the Brisbane River, the City, and the Botanic Gardens.
