How Rivière Constructions began
In March 2022, mid-build on Rivière by Aria at Kangaroo Point, our builder went into liquidation. Purchasers had already bought off the plan. The site needed continuity, not a long pause. We chose to finish what we had sold.
Within days, we formed our own construction company, Rivière Constructions, to take over the build. We employed the project team who had been on the job, and brought the subcontractors and suppliers back onto the tower. Work recommenced on 24 March 2022, with about five days of construction lost.
We had sold these apartments. So we delivered them, and we honoured the off-the-plan prices our purchasers had signed. Our purchasers bought Aria, not the incumbent builder.
Rivière by Aria was completed, residents moved in, and Rivière Constructions stayed. What began as the way to finish one project is now how we build our projects moving forward, including work under construction on Casamia, Lucerna, Cliff, and more soon to follow. In 2023, Rivière Constructions won the UDIA Queensland award for Construction on Rivière.
