There is a new reason to linger on Melbourne Street. On Friday 12 June, Brooki Bakehouse opened its doors at 109 Melbourne Street, South Brisbane, and the line out front told the story before anyone had taken a bite.

The new store is Brooki's second Brisbane flagship and its biggest yet. There is dining inside and out, and a theatre kitchen where you can watch the bakers at work through the glass.

Something sweet, late

Brooki is open seven days, from 10am to 10pm. The full range of cookies, cakes and brownies is on the shelves, and cakes can be pre-ordered online for pick-up from the store.

A street coming to life

Fish Lane and Melbourne Street have long been part of what makes South Brisbane feel like a neighbourhood: small places, good food and people out walking at all hours. A local name like Brooki, opening here, adds to that.

Welcome to the street, Brooki.
