Aria's Annual Tree Planting Day 2025: Stiving For a Greener Brisbane

On Friday August 29, our annual Tree Planting Day found us in Musgrave Avenue Park, situated at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac on the edge of Bald Hills & Bracken Ridge. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in Aria’s annual Tree Planting Day. Together, we are united in our mission to cultivate a greener and more sustainable future for our community in Brisbane.
Almost 100,000 Trees Planted
The morning began with a song by Baringa Barambah Meajinu, songwoman of the Turrabal People and a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Aboriginal Elder Uncle Billy, warmly welcoming the Aria community to the land. We successfully planted 10,000 trees this year, bringing our total commitment so far to just over 94,000 trees.
At Aria, we previously set the ambitious goal of planting 100,000 trees by 2032. With over 94,000 already planted, we’re proud to announce that we have raised our target to 120,000 trees and plants by 2032. This demonstrates our dedication to making a lasting, positive impact on the environment.
A Partnership Focused on Long-Term Environmental Goals
In partnership with Brisbane City Council and Councillor Ryan Murphy, our annual Tree Planting Day plays a crucial role in achieving this important milestone.
We were proud to be joined by over 150 members of the broader Aria community, all sharing our vision for a greener Brisbane and a healthier planet. We are grateful to everyone who joined us in supporting our shared vision for a greener, more sustainable Brisbane. We look forward to coming together again next year to continue our endeavour.
