Our history

2001

Tim Forrester studies Property Economics at QUT and grows his passion for property. During his studies he buys a mobile coffee business, his first entrepreneurial endeavour.

2003

Tim Forrester establishes Aria with long time school friends, Brent Liddell, Michael Hurley, his Sister Kirsty Atkins (nee Forrester) and David Marsland.

2004

Aria develops Emerald Lodge and Alpine Lodge condominium project in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

2006

Aria develops Bear Lodge Resort condominium project in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

2007

Aria forms a partnership with The Smith Family, pledging financial support through the Aria Learning for Life program. Aria donates $620,000 over 10 years and has mentored over 850 kids.

2009

Aria completes The Cliffs, a boutique project located at the apex of Kangaroo Point. The Cliffs was awarded UDIA Award for Best Development in Queensland, crystallising the Aria vision to continue to deliver quality owner occupier projects.

2010

Retail and Commercial Manager, Michael Zaicek, signs international retail brands to Brisbane including Hermes, Hourglass, Montblanc and Ermenegildo Zegna; initiating the importance of ground floor retail in Aria projects.

2013

Design Manager, Simon White, drives Aria’s focus on architectural excellence with the completion of Vine. The project was awarded UDIA Award for Best Development in Queensland.

2014

Aria delivers boutique developments, Village Green and Jardin, showcasing depth in delivering high quality projects regardless of scale.

2014

Aria partners with nationally acclaimed architecture firm, RotheLowman, and develops Austin. The project is Aria's first foray into redeveloping the public laneway, Fish Lane, and brings together three of Brisbane's best retailers at the base of the project. Austin was awarded UDIA President’s Award for Best Overall project in Queensland.

2015

Aria completes Botanica Residences located in the heart of South Brisbane. The tower showcases Aria commitment to sustainability and greenery with ninety-six solar panels installed and Queensland's largest residential green wall. Botanica was awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Australia and the prestigious President's Award for Best Overall Development in Australia.

2016

Eden Lane and Ivy Terrace are completed — stage one of Aria's exciting urban renewal project, Eden Laneway. Located in the heart of Woolloongabba, the two towers deliver an intimate oasis of resident amenity set across the joint podium form.

2016

Aria partners with Tony Owen Architects to deliver Breeze’s sculptural facade, bringing a new level of architecture to the heart of Mooloolaba. The boutique project of fifty-eight residences commands beautiful views across the Mooloolaba beach and beyond.

2016

Aria in partnership with architecture firm, Tony Owen Partners, delivers The Melbourne Residences and transforms South Brisbane’s Fish Lane and Melbourne Street boulevard. Zeyad Imam establishes Aria Living to manage The Melbourne Residences and all Aria projects moving forward to ensure the long term integrity of Aria buildings. The project is awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Australia.

2017

Aria completes Lexington and Akira, the final two towers of Aria's four-staged Eden Lane masterplan. The juxtaposition between Lexington’s sculptural design is complemented by Akira’s Japanese influences. Both combine to complete the evolving green space and retail precinct of Eden Lane.

2017

St Julien Residences is completed, standing proud on the crest of South Bank and showcasing a new level of architecture in the south of Brisbane. The boutique complex of eighty apartments delivers impeccable apartment finishes and arguably the best views in Brisbane.

2017

Aria partners with renown architects Elenberg Fraser to create Oxley + Stirling Residences. The project brings new innovations to the Brisbane apartment market through a unique rooftop space and cleverly designed apartments, allowing access to iconic river views from the majority of residences. Oxley + Stirling was awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Australia.

2018

Brisbane’s most curvaceous development to date is celebrated with Aria and Elenberg Fraser's collaboration at The Drapery. The project's landmark design has become an icon in the suburb of Woolloongabba and activates a corner location with three high quality retail venues.

2018

Valencia’s iconic rippling façade and architectural statement stands proud above Brisbane city in the prestigious suburb of Kangaroo Point. The RotheLowman designed tower features a beautiful pink hue and is awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Queensland.

2019

Inspired by Moroccan architecture, Aria completes Amira in East Brisbane. A uniquely designed tower in partnership with RotheLowman merges contemporary design elements with the sub-tropical surrounds of Raymond Park.

2020

Aria's vision to transforms 39 carparks into South Brisbane’s new vibrant urban space, Fish Lane Town Square, comes to fruition. A collaboration with one of Australia's most coveted public realm designers, Richards & Spence, creates a new urban space incorporating over 3,000 plants, seating, lighting installations and three new retail venues. Fish Lane Town Square is awarded the World Landscape Architecture Award for Built Urban Design.

2021

Inspired by a company wide innovation trip to Singapore, Aria completes TreeHouse and delivers Brisbane’s first residential building to incorporate over thirty trees across a building’s façade and over seventy-five trees in total across the project.

2021

Aria collaborates with Woods Bagot Architects and Form Landscape Architects to deliver The Standard on Fish Lane. The sculptural design redefines Aria’s commitment to deliver world class buildings with a number of Australian first resident amenities. The project is awarded UDIA Award for Best High Density Development in Australia 2022.

2022

Aria partners with internationally renown architecture firm Koichi Takada Architects to deliver Upper House. Standing proud as the tallest tower in South Brisbane, the iconic tower celebrates dancing balconies and Australia's first double-storey Residents' Rooftop Club.

2022

Australia's most prestigious and oldest architectural firm, Bates Smart, enters the Brisbane market and partners with Aria to create Riviére. Standing proud on top of the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Riviére's stepping façade pays homage to the surrounding locality and elevates Brisbane's apartment living experiences to new heights.

2022

Located adjacent to one of Brisbane’s oldest and most iconic parklands, Trellis graces the city skyline with a distinct architectural form. Celebrating a striking contemporary architectural form, Trellis combines years of Aria’s innovations into this unique project.

2023

Canopy House is the next iconic tower in Aria's portfolio to transform Brisbane's skyline and bring new innovations to the residential market. In partnership with RotheLowman, the name Canopy House has been inspired by the ten metre high ground floor lobby, delivering a canopy like experience that meets the double-height rooftop space. Throughout the corner of the tower lies trees located on every second floor, an evolution from Aria's previous TreeHouse and building upon Aria's goals of planting 100,000 trees by 2032.
