Aria's annual Tree Planting Day 2024
On Friday August 30, our annual Tree Planting Day found us in Dividend Street Park, a short walk over the Pebble Pass Bridge in Mansfield. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated in Aria’s annual Tree Planting Day. Together, we are united in our mission to cultivate a greener and more sustainable future for our community.
Set against the beautiful backdrop of the leafy Bulimba Creek Catchment, a vital koala habitat, the morning began with a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony led by Uncle Henry, a Yugara custodian, warmly welcoming the Aria community to the land. We successfully planted 10,000 trees this year, bringing our total commitment so far to just over 89,000 trees.
At Aria, we have set an ambitious goal of planting 100,000 trees by 2032, demonstrating our dedication to making a lasting, positive impact on the environment.
In partnership with Brisbane City Council and Councillor Ryan Murphy, our annual Tree Planting Day plays a crucial role in achieving this important milestone.
We were proud to be joined by over 130 members of the broader Aria community, all sharing our vision for a greener Brisbane and a healthier planet. We are grateful to everyone who joined us in supporting our shared vision for a greener, more sustainable Brisbane. We look forward to coming together again next year to continue our endeavour.
