Internationally renown architects Snohetta and local partner Blight Rayner have been chosen to design the new $150 million theatre in South Bank.

Located in the South Bank Arts & Cultural precinct, a moments away from Aria’s Fish Lane, is Queensland’s newest $150 million performing arts theatre.

Designed by internationally renown architects, Snohetta, the building brings an inspirational design drawn from the Brisbane River and pays homage to the cultural significance of South Bank.

The new theatre will make QPAC Australia’s largest performing arts centre, with the capacity to host an extra 300,000 visitors per annum. Works are expected to start in early 2020 with completion in 2022.
